As part of the 2026 Heritage Festival, come and explore the beautiful Queanbeyan River on a walk from Erin Street to Oaks Estate.

Tom Baker from Queanbeyan Landcare and Dr Karen Williams from the Molonglo Conservation Group will lead a guided walk along this section of the river. They will provide insights into the area's flora—including both native and invasive species—as well as its fauna and overall environmental diversity.

The trails are in good condition and the walk will be at a slow pace. Please wear enclosed shoes, sun protection and bring your own water. There may be an opportunity to have lunch at your own expense at one of the local cafes afterwards.

The meeting point will be at the end of Erin Street Queanbeyan.
