THE GREAT SPRING CLEAN UP
QPRC and Queanbeyan Landcare are hosting a big clean-up along the Queanbeyan River on 20 September 2025.


FAIRLANE FAUNA AND FLORA RESERVE (BARRACKS CREEK)
Queanbeyan Landcare will be at the Fairlane Fauna and Flora Reserve planting site Wednesday 3 September from 10:00am. Come along and do a bit of restaking and mulching. Plus, there’s always morning tea!

Join QPRC and Queanbeyan Landcare on an educational walk up Mount Jerrabomberra to celebrate World Wattle Day!
WANDIYALI-ENVIRONA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY WORKING GROUP
Come along and give us a hand at Wandiyali-Environa Wildlife Sancturary from 9:00am until 11:00am Sunday 17 August.

RIVERSIDE CEMETERY WORKING GROUP
Our next working group at the Riverside Cemetery Site will be Friday 15 August from 9:00am to 11:00am.
We will be weeding across the whole site, tidying up tree guards and checking out the small birds that live in the area.

GARRYOWEN PARK WORKING GROUP
We will be doing some general tidying, replacing tree guards, planting a few Eucalypts and checking out the growth since our last visit. All welcome.

NATIONAL TREE DAY
Join QPRC and Queanbeyan Landcare to revegetate The Scar reserve. We will be planting several hundred native trees and shrubs in the reserve, creating a pocket of native bush for everyone to enjoy. Light refreshments will be available.

Our new work site stretches from below Blundell Park past the dog park and all the way to the Railway Bridge at the NSW/ACT border. It’s just across from our thriving replanting at Riverside Cemetery, and with your help, we can make this area shine too!

2025 MOLONGLO GROUP CATCHMENT ART EXHIBITION
This exhibition encourages people to think about the role of soils in our lives in the Molonglo catchment – unearthing knowledge through the depiction of histories and stories about the role of soils and how we and they have influenced change in our catchment, for better or for worse.
Join us on Sunday 6 July 2025 from 1:30pm for guest speakers, interesting art and some afternoon tea.

OLD SYDNEY ROAD AND THE BRICKWORKS HISTORY WALK
As part of the 2025 Heritage Festival, come and explore the history of Old Sydney Road in Cuumbeun Nature Reserve, the importance of the brickworks to the local economy and the impacts on the local vegetation.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM
We are meeting at 8:30am Friday 29 November 2024 to water, weed, placing tree guards, and some 2025 planning. The Outdoor Classroom is located along the river near the Glebe Park playground off Thorpe Avenue Queanbeyan. Bring your own PPE and water, some tools provided. We hope to see you there.
