Queanbeyan Landcare together with Molonglo Catchment Group will sponsor the Urban Rivers section for the Molonglo Art Exhibition in 2026.
This year, artists are invited to explore how urban life interacts with the Molonglo catchment.
Join us on Sunday 5 July 2026 from 2:00pm for guest speakers, great art and some afternoon tea.
NATIONAL TREE DAY
Planet Ark's National Tree Day started in 1996 and has grown into Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event.
Join QPRC and Queanbeyan Landcare at Bicentennial Park Queanbeyan on 26 July 2026 for National Tree Day.

THE SCAR
The Scar site is located between the BMX Track and the dog park off Southbar Road Karabar and was the site of National Tree Day in 2025.
Come and help us with some watering and general maintenance. And there is always morning tea!

We will be carrying out some general maintenance, possibly some mulching and lots of weeding. We will have some tools (but please bring your own if you have some) and of course, there will be morning tea to share.

Our next working group is at The Scar. Meet at the off-lead Dog Park on Southbar Road.
This site has been sadly neglected since the National Tree Day planting in June, as such we will be watering, removing (and counting) dead plants and restaking as required.
QUEANBEYAN EASTBANK WORKING GROUP
Join our Queanbeyan Eastbank Working Group on Wednesday 22 October 2025 between 8:30am and 10:30am.
Our new work site stretches from below Blundell Park past the dog park and all the way to the Railway Bridge at the NSW/ACT border. It’s just across from our thriving replanting at Riverside Cemetery, and with your help, we can make this area shine too!
